Assessment
Tests and quizzes are an assessment of your knowledge of the faith. Chapter tests will be given at the end of every chapter and will be announced. Quizzes may occur at any time.
Your notebook will contain a journal section. We will have a journal entry usually every day. In order to complete an entry, you will use the New American Bible provided in the classroom. Your journal will be collected and graded twice a trimester. I will give you a few days notice of the collection, so that you may review your work and be sure that your journal is complete. Journal entries as well as homework assignments can be found daily on my website, http://www.shgteach.org/reese/. Points will be deducted for missing journal entries. Additionally, points will be deducted for journals turned in late and/or incomplete. So, be sure to keep up with those daily entries
You are responsible for making up any missed work when absent. Check my website for assignments as well as journal entries. Please be aware that three neglected or incomplete written assignments will result in a detention.
Looking Ahead
During the year our time will be spent reading our text and discussing the content. We will use the Bible daily. We will have small and large group discussions. We will have guided meditation sessions. Most importantly, we will share each other’s company, learn from each other, and grow in faith together.
